Return and Exchange Policy
Sight Solutions (PTY) LTD ("Sight Solutions”)
RETURN, EXCHANGE & CANCELLATION POLICY
At Sight Solutions, we want you to be completely satisfied with your eyewear purchase. If you are not happy with your sunglasses or optical frames, we offer an exchange option under the conditions below:
Eligibility for Exchange
You may exchange sunglasses or optical frames if:
- The item is unworn, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
- The exchange is requested within 7 days after the product has been received.
- The original proof of purchase or receipt is provided.
Items Not Eligible for Exchange
- Frames or sunglasses that show signs of wear, scratches, or damage.
- Items purchased on sale, clearance, or marked “final sale.”
- Prescription glasses that have prescription lenses that have been customized or fitted into frames (unless there is a manufacturing fault).
Exchange Process
- Bring or ship the item with the original packaging and proof of purchase.
- A team member will inspect the item to ensure it meets our return conditions.
- If eligible, we’ll offer:
- An exchange for another item of equal or greater value (customer pays the difference), or
- We will issue you a refund.
Important Notes
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
- Shipping costs for return or exchange are the responsibility of the customer (unless the item is defective or incorrect).
Returns
Damaged Products and custom-made products such as prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses may not be returned. However, if we have made an error and, for example, sent you the wrong item, you may return the product at Sight Solution’s reasonable cost. The rights granted under this clause are in addition to the rights you have under consumer protection legislation applicable to your purchase. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the products while they are in your possession. Between the date of your receipt of the products and the date the product is returned to Sight Solutions, you shall bear all risk in keeping the products safe, secure and free from loss or damage.
Cancellation
A customer is entitled to cancel any transaction without any penalty within seven days of receipt of Products in terms of Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (“Cooling-off Period”), however:
1. The Cooling-off Period does not apply to any electronic transaction where the products are made to the customer’s specifications, clearly personalised and/or by reason of their nature cannot be returned and accordingly does not apply to prescription eyewear,
2. The Returns provision contained herein shall still apply.
