Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
General Eye Care
- How often should I get my eyes checked?
We recommend a comprehensive eye exam every 1-2 years. If you have specific eye conditions or wear corrective lenses, you may need more frequent check-ups. - What's the difference between an optometrist and an ophthalmologist?
An optometrist performs eye exams, prescribes corrective lenses, and diagnoses common eye conditions. An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who can perform surgical procedures in addition to providing general eye care. - Can I wear contact lenses if I have dry eyes or astigmatism?
Yes! There are specialty lenses designed for dry eyes and astigmatism. We'll help you find the best fit. - What are the signs that I might need glasses?
Blurred vision, frequent headaches, squinting, difficulty seeing at night, or eye strain may indicate the need for vision correction. - Can too much screen time damage my eyes?
Prolonged screen use can cause digital eye strain. Using blue light filters, taking screen breaks, and adjusting your screen lighting can help reduce symptoms.
